(June 20, 2011) A construction worker is being treated for second and third degree electrical burns following a construction accident Monday afternoon at the Elevate Life Church, 8500 Teel Parkway.
Dispatch received a call at 1:28 p.m. about an ‘explosion’ at the church, where an addition to the facility is being constructed. As a result, as many as seven units were initially dispatched to the scene.
When Frisco Firefighters arrived they realized there was no ‘explosion’ but they found an injured worker on the second floor of the construction site.
Fire investigators say a 45-year-old man was hurt while working on an electrical panel.
Firefighters say the man was air lifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, via CareFlite, where he is being treated for electrical burns.
No one else was hurt.
