Kid's Corner

From January 23 to February 3 this year,
Frisco Schools collected phone books
for recycling!

INTERESTING FACT:
To create 500 new phone books, it takes:

...About 17-31 trees
...About 7,000 gallons of water
...About enough electricity to power an
average home for six months
...And when we throw 500 phone books in the trash, they take up about 3.3 cubic yards of landill space!

Results of this district-wide contest will be posted soon!

of a local phone book and other

nearly 4,000 pounds of batteries!
This weight is comparable to that of an average car!
