Volunteering is not only a great way to meet your neighbors, but also to acquire leadership abilities, utilize current skills and gain new ones, and return something to the community while assisting others.
By joining the City of Frisco's Waterwise Volunteer Group you will be able to participate in local WaterWise events. The focus of these events includes water efficiency and stormwater pollution in our community. Listed below are our current volunteer opportunities:
The Storm Drain Marking Project: This is a new program that the Frisco Water Division is taking on, and they need your help! This will entail you and/or your volunteer group meeting with a City of Frisco employee at a specific location within a neighborhood. They will demonstrate the procedure of placing a special educational tile on a storm drain inlet. They will then give your team the materials needed as well as a map, and help your group mark the remaining storm drains in that area.
How to Become a Volunteer If you would like to register to be a Waterwise Volunteer for future events please visit the City of Frisco Volunteer page and complete the necessary volunteer registration information.
What to Expect You will be greeted by City of Frisco staff once you arrive for the event. Depending on the occasion, volunteers will be grouped into teams and each paired with a city employee. Each team will be given necessary materials and instruction/training before starting.
