Additional Watering Day

Remember that rainfall during this week may significantly reduce the need for outdoor watering. See our advice on how to water this amount with your sprinkler system.

Spring temperatures bring lovely color back to your landscape. Consider using your controller manually to prevent overwatering during spring showers.

Remember Your Summer Watering Days and Times

During July, August and September, a two-day-a-week watering schedule becomes mandatory for the summer months.

The watering schedule is based on your residential trash day plus one additional day. Non-residential customer watering days are based their on location within the residential trash day zones (See Map).

Outdoor watering with a sprinkler system is also not allowed between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. and between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. You may hand water your landscape with a shut-off nozzle, soaker hose and drip/bubbler system at any time, on any day.

Watering during the restricted hours is considered water waste and may result in a water waste violation. Residents are encouraged to report water waste. Contact the Public Works Department by phone (972) 292-5800 or send us your  water waste report.

Did you know?

The City of Frisco receives its treated water supply from the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD). The NTMWD supplies water to approximately 1.6 million people in 13 member cities and 57 customers in seven counties.

Five surface water supply sources make up the NTMWD reservoir system that supplies our treated water supply. The primary source is Lavon Lake with other reservoirs supplementing Lavon Lake. Additional sources include: Jim Chapman Lake, Lake Texoma, Lake Tawakoni, and the East Fork Raw Water Supply Project (Wetland).
