 Drive Frisco

Whether you live here or you are visiting, we hope these instructions will make motoring through Frisco easier.

Pizza Hut Park Special Events:
View a map detailing exit routes for traffic leaving large concerts and or special events hosted at Pizza Hut Park.  These routes are based on parking lots.  Please remember, you will be forced to head in a certain direction depending which parking lot you are leaving.  There are no exceptions.

We appreciate your patience -- leaving a concert or special event requires more time than it took you to get there since most people depart at once.

New School Zones for 2010-2011

School is back in session August 23 for Frisco ISD, Lewisville ISD and Prosper ISD. This year Frisco ISD has five new campuses opening in the city limits.

Purefoy Elementary (circulation map)
Opening on Teel Parkway, south of Eldorado Parkway.  There will be a new 20 mph school zone along Teel Parkway in front of the school.  A new traffic signal will become operational when school begins that will serve outbound traffic from the elementary school.  This traffic signal will only be operational during the school day, and will flash yellow for Teel Parkway at night and on the weekends.  All parent and visitor traffic will enter the campus at the northernmost driveway on Teel Parkway and loop behind the building to drop-off and pick-up children.  All parent and visitor traffic will then exit the school at the traffic signal onto Teel Parkway.

Cobb Middle School (circulation map)
Opening on Teel Parkway, north of Main Street.  There will be a new 20 mph school zone along Teel Parkway in front of the school.  All parent traffic will enter the campus at the northernmost driveway on Teel Parkway and loop behind the building to drop-off and pick-up children.  Visitors will enter through a separate driveway, which will require southbound drivers to make a u-turn on Teel Parkway in order to reach the driveway.

Maus Middle School (circulation map)
Opening on Coit Road, north of Eldorado Parkway.  There will be a new 20 mph school zone on Coit Road in front of the school.  All parents will enter the southernmost driveway in order to drop-off students in the morning; but in the afternoon, parents will enter different driveways in order to pick-up students (depending on their grade level).  Parents of sixth grade students will use the southernmost driveway, and parents of seventh and eighth grade parents will use the northernmost driveway.  Keep in mind that Coit Road is only a dirt road north of the school so all school traffic should approach Coit Road from Eldorado Parkway.

Hunt Middle School (circulation map)
Opening on Legendary Drive, south of Lebanon Road.  There will be a new 20 mph school zone on Lebanon Road at the intersection of Legendary Drive where crossing guards will help children cross Lebanon Road.  There will also be a new 20 mph school zone on Legendary Drive in front of the school.  All parent traffic will enter the campus at the northernmost driveway on Legendary Drive and loop behind the building to drop-off and pick-up children.

Lone Star High School
Opening
on Panther Creek Parkway at Teel Parkway.
20 mph school zone in effect.

There’s also a new crosswalk location for Gunstream Elementary and Wester Middle School. The crosswalk on Rolater across from the schools has been relocated one block east to the new hike & bike trail crossing.  Instead of crossing at Whittingham Road, students should walk farther east and use the crossing guards stationed at the new trail crossing.
